2022 Chelsie King Garza Essay Scholarship
Most college students are keenly aware of the dangers associated with drunk driving and drug use. But there’s another common and incredibly harmful behavior on campuses that is causing severe physical and psychological trauma to students: college hazing.
Attorney Chelsie King Garza is offering a scholarship to spread awareness of this problem and encourage students, faculty, and administrators to take steps toward ending college hazing. The $1,000 scholarship essay contest is open to any student who will be enrolled in an accredited college or university in February 2022, or who will have been accepted to a college or university by that date.
To enter, please write an essay on the following topic: The physical and psychological consequences of hazing at universities are well-documented. To apply for this scholarship, please write a 500-word essay that discusses these consequences and what can be done to stop hazing.
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
You are eligible to apply for this scholarship if you have been accepted to or are currently enrolled in an accredited college, graduate, or undergraduate program in the USA as of February 2022.
